No news is good news?
Volume two enlists local production duo, the Rondo Brothers, to produce some of Vinyl’s best new work. Collaborating with Tony Mindel, they blew-open seven Vinyl tracks and added the Rondo’s whiplash drumming and exaggerated electronic thump. The music swells with harmonica and horn heavy percussion foundation that Vinyl is built on. Legendary bass player and friend Les Claypool adds his funky and expressive sound to four vibrant tracks. $40.00
Bay Area friends and producers, the Rondo Brothers and Tony Mindel take sections of previously recorded Vinyl music and add spice to the edges and intriguing samples throughout the album. The result is old tracks with new ideas to give a new hip-hop feel to the funky sounds of Vinyl. Veteran P-funk keyboardist and hall of fame inductee, Bernie Worrell, lends his signature sound from start to finish.
